“But about that day or hour no one knows,
not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
has this lost world simply forgotten that no one knows the time or day that Jesus is going to return to this earth?

shattered.
racing, leaping at the sight
hoplessly falling away from right
sweet lies he whispers in her ear
he's hoping, praying she believes all she hears.
pulling, dragging demanding her all
slowly,surely she begins to fall.
truths whispered from those who care
a common worry we begin to share
take care my friend-it's all a lie
soon your heart will wither and cry.
fighting, pushing we'll make it through
but this fight is to be fought not by three, but two.
I love you my dear, and I'll always be around
and I watch as you fall shattered to the ground.
one day when you find your heart content
all the pieces shattered-to God you've sent
the joy you feel you can't contain
will create your heart to beat again.
hoplessly falling away from right
sweet lies he whispers in her ear
he's hoping, praying she believes all she hears.
pulling, dragging demanding her all
slowly,surely she begins to fall.
truths whispered from those who care
a common worry we begin to share

a poem.
Love really is the most enchanting emotion,
A feeling so vast, as deep as the ocean.
Love always has the right words to say,
Love shall remain past the closing of the day.
Love is not proud, or envious-never boasts,
Love only seeks what matters most.
Love will fight whatever you face,
Love will comfort with a warm embrace.
Love holds you up when you’re going to fall,
And promises to keep you safe through it all.
Love so magnificent, so perfect, so true;
Love will never fail you.

let the waters rise
let the waters rise, if you want them to. I will follow you, I will follow you!
How often do we face things in life and complain about the problem instead of going to God and saying, "no matter what God, I know you're in control and I give the situation to you."? I know that I don't do that often enough. This song {Let the Waters Rise-by Mikeschair} has become a favorite of mine throughout my move to Guatemala, and has reminded me that God is in control. No matter if it feels like my world is caving in, I'll let God raise the waters if he wants to, because he's in control and he won't give me anything that I can't handle. Even when I can't keep my own fear under control in my life, and it feels like my life is spinning out of order, I can find comfort in knowing that I'm not the one who is controlling my life. I'm not the one who makes the plans. God has a future for me, even when the present looks so jumbled up. {Jeremiah 29:11}God, I will follow you wherever you lead me in my life, I will follow you!

how GREAT is our God.
Discipleship. A group of senior girls sitting around a table talking about God, life and COLLEGE. Talking about God, who is the same yesterday, today and forever. FOREVER. Now, I think that we often forget how marvelous and wonderful our creator is. This God, this unchanging God created everything. He created the vast oceans, the innumerable stars in the sky, every single grain of sand, the unknown areas of space. He created all of that. Now. We got talking about how worried everyone was about getting into this or that college, and our plans for this coming year. In the Bible, God tells us not to worry. "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" {Matthew 6:26}Wow.

two months
It's been two months. Two months we picked up our lives and started a new chapter in the beautiful country of Guatemala. Two months since my last Dunkin' Donuts coffee. Two months since I've my best friend. Two months since I last sat around with my baby cousin, snuggling on her chubby face. Two months since... Well, I think you get the picture. I love life here, and in these last two months God has grown me so much. He's blessed me with incredible friends, my awesome family, a house, breath...and so on and so forth. We've made so many new friends and have experienced things we never imagined we would. Living in Guatemala makes every day an adventure, but it's an adventure that I'm ready and willing to embark on.
